Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

This policy explains how SimpleQuo uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit https://simplequo.co.uk.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They help websites remember preferences, keep sessions secure, and understand how pages are used.

Cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary — required for basic site functionality and security. These may include cookies set by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) to protect against abuse and deliver the site reliably.
  • Analytics cookies — if enabled, these help us understand traffic and improve the site (for example Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager). We only turn these on in production once configured.

The free quote tool does not require login cookies. Quote data you enter is not stored in cookies unless you generate a share link (that data is stored on our servers, not in cookies).

Third-party services

Analytics or tag-management tools we use may set their own cookies. Their use is governed by the relevant provider's policy (for example Google’s privacy policy). We do not control third-party cookies.

Legal basis and consent

Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are essential to provide the service. Analytics cookies, where used, rely on your consent where required under UK PECR — we will ask before enabling non-essential tracking when a consent mechanism is in place.

Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website works. To opt out of Google Analytics across sites, visit Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Updates

We may update this policy when our site, analytics setup, or legal requirements change. Please check this page periodically.
